The Empty Quarter (Rub' al Khali)

  • Arabian Oryx

    Look for the white animal with long, straight horns. Known as the "Maha," this beautiful creature is a true master of desert survival.

  • Houbara Bustard

    The Houbara is a shy bird that is a master of hide-and-seek. Their feathers look exactly like the sand, making them almost invisible to predators.

    • Significance: They are a protected species and serve as a major symbol of the UAE's wildlife and traditional falconry.

  • Dolphin

    The dolphin on your map represents the incredible animals living in the UAE's blue waters. These mammals are famous for their intelligence.

Jebel Jais
